Understanding Your Wendover Gas Bill
From the early days, gas utilities measured and sold gas by volume. Most gas meters have 4 digits, the smallest of which shows 100 cubic feet, or one CCF.
All fuel prices increased dramatically in the 1970's. Many gas pipelines and utilities switched to selling gas on the basis of heating value. One British Thermal Unit (or BTU) is the amount of heat needed to raise one pound (pint) of water by 1° F. One BTU is about the energy produced by burning a wooden match.

LATE PAYMENTS AND ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS:
Wendover Gas Co (WGC) considers any payment made after the 5th of each month late and will be subject to the $20.00 late fee.
Wendover Gas Co. (WGC) customers can apply for the 'Energy Assistance Program' (EAP) through the State of Nevada to receive assistance in paying their propane bills with WGC. Once a customer applies, the EAP will call and verify with WGC that the customer has an active account, as well as the customer's pertinent information. If a customer is approved, WGC will accept any and all payments from the EAP. If a person is unable to qualify through the EAP and is unable to stay current with bill payments, WGC will work with the customer to make payment arrangements.
